The rising tide of anti-Asian attacks across the country is yet another form of racism unchecked. LCD stands with the Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association in condemning the violence. As individuals and as entities, we reaffirm our commitment to act within our spheres of influence to dismantle all forms of racism and to stand as allies for each other. We start by urging you to read the Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s Stand Against Racism, which includes suggestions on what you can do. We support and echo CAPABA’s statement.
To learn more about what you can do, join CAPABA on March 31, 5 - 6:30pm, for Stand Up, Speak Out, Be Seen: Moving from Violence to Equity & Inclusion for Asian and Pacific Islander Americans. This event is a moderated discussion with Anastasia King and William Brown, Assistant United States Attorneys, Dr. William Howe, Multicultural Dimensions and Mike Keo, founder of #IAMNOTAVIRUS. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org for Zoom information.
Together, we will have difficult conversations, we will take a stand, we will change the world for the better.
