Hartford, CT (September 8, 2020)...Murtha Cullina LLP announced today that Andy I. Corea has been elected Managing Partner of the firm, effective January 1, 2021. Mr. Corea currently serves as Chair of the firm’s Business and Finance Department. He will succeed Jennifer Morgan DelMonico, who has served as Managing Partner of the firm since 2015 and will resume her full-time practice as a trial lawyer for corporate clients in product liability and commercial litigation disputes.

Mr. Corea is a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. An experienced trademark practitioner, he helps clients protect their intellectual property rights through counseling, clearance, and prosecution of trademarks and copyrights as well as enforcement, litigation, acquisitions, and licensing. He appears regularly before the United States Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and has represented clients in Federal court cases throughout the country.
Mr. Corea serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut School of Law. He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the Connecticut Bar Foundation and a member and past president of the Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association and the South Asian Bar Association of Connecticut.
He received his law degree from the George Mason University School of Law, where he served on the Board of Editors of the student Law Review and was named a Dean’s Scholar. He received his B.A. from the College of William and Mary.
Mr. Corea lives in Woodbridge, Connecticut with his wife Professor Michelle Bell and their two children.
