Our goal at LCD is to recruit high achieving student leaders from area colleges and universities who may have expressed an interest in a legal career. Each year LCD places diverse undergraduate students at several of its outstanding member organizations for a paid summer internship. Along with gaining invaluable work experience, the LCD summer interns will participate in professional and etiquette development workshops, go on tours, participate in a mock trial, and will be assigned an attorney mentor.
We hope that once college students are exposed to the legal profession, they will be inspired to pursue a career in law and contribute to the pipeline of talented lawyers of color at LCD member organizations.
The interested applicant must:
Have completed their undergraduate freshman year and be entering their sophomore, junior or senior year at an accredited college or university. Current seniors graduating May 2021 are not eligible;
Demonstrate a strong connection to Connecticut; and
Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
