LCD Virtual Summer Internship Pipeline Program Application
Application Deadline: March 19, 2021! The mission of the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity (“LCD”) is to unite the resources, energy and commitment of the State’s leading law firms, corporations, public sector entities, law schools and state bar associations in the joint mission of making Connecticut a more attractive place for attorneys of color to practice law and find satisfying professional opportunities. The LCD’s Summer Internship Pipeline Program extends the mission of the LCD to college students of color who are interested in attending law school by connecting them to summer internship opportunities with legal organizations. If selected, students will become temporary employees of the member legal organization that hires them for the summer.
Statement of Interest
Please provide a written statement explaining your interest in participating as an intern in the LCD’s Summer Internship Pipeline Program. The statement should be limited to one typed 81⁄2 x 11 page.
Please provide the names and contact information of one to three references.
I understand and agree that this application is not a contract of employment. I certify that all the information given in this application is complete and true, and understand that any false or misleading information may be grounds for dismissal from participation in the program or from any employment with LCD member organizations. I hereby authorize my former employers and schools, with any exceptions I have noted, to give any information regarding my employment or schooling to the LCD and any of its member legal organizations. I understand if selected, I will be required to provide documentation confirming my eligibility to work in the United States of America.
