Sponsor an Event: In partnership with LCD’s exceptional members, we are able to provide a wide variety of programs and events throughout the year to share thoughts and experiences that will foster authentic engagement and a more diverse and inclusive legal community. As a direct result of the generosity of our membership, all LCD events are offered free of charge.
The Edwin Archer Randolph Diversity Award is LCD’s premiere event which takes place during May of each year. This award is named for Edwin Archer Randolph, a Yale Law School graduate, who was the first lawyer of color admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1880. Through his service in various public offices, Mr. Randolph was instrumental in promoting the inclusion and advancement of lawyers and other professionals of color in Connecticut. In tribute to his legacy, this award honors an individual who promotes inclusion and advancement of lawyers of color and other professionals.
LCD's 15th Anniversary Celebration: In 2003 The Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity (LCD) was formed by concerned lawyers to answer the call to advance diversity in Connecticut’s legal community. On Thursday evening, May 23, 2019, we will bring Connecticut’s legal community together to celebrate 15 years of uniting the resources, energy and commitment of the region’s leading law firms, corporate law offices, public sector entities, law schools and state wide affinity bar associations in the joint mission of making Connecticut and Western Massachusetts a more attractive place for lawyers of color to live, practice law and find satisfying professional opportunities. Over the past 15 years we are realizing our mission through innovative programming for law students and practicing lawyers and best practices forums for legal leaders in our member organizations.
We invite you to join us on May 23rd, 2019 and become a sponsor for the celebration.
